The subject of the original photograph was an altered t-shirt worn by a friend who was helping decorate my house. I loved the irony of the battle-of-the-sexes message "
Boys Lie
" separated across her chest, since that is often what boys lie about, or for!I tried to limit the palette of tiles shots from my basement/garage, which we were setting up to be a photostudio, and which included disco balls, candles, mirrors, and colored lights.
