What to expect at a pure romance party?

My boyfriend's sister is having a pure romance party at her wedding shower and my mom and grandma are both going...we aren't a family that really talks about sex or anything like that. I'm not sure what to expect or whether or not it will be awkward.

Do you know what jewelry or Tupperware parties are? Where ladies host a nice party at their home then show off goods where guests fill out order forms for what the want to purchase at the end of the night? Well a pure romance party is like a Tupperware party, only for sex toys, and the bride gets a portion of the profits. It is one of the tackiest things ever conceived to coincide with a bridal shower. How women can do it without shame is beyond me. But ya, that's what it is and you, your mom and grandma are in for a few hour presentation on raunchy sex toys, and expected to purchase some to help contribute to the bride. Sounds fun huh?
